Scope note: Mensajero nonapéptido producido enzimáticamente a partir de la KALIDINA de la sangre, donde es un agente potente pero de corta vida de la dilatación arteriolar e incremento de la permeabilidad capilar. La bradicinina también es liberada por los MASTOCITOS durante los ataques de asma, por la pared intestinal como vasodilatador gastrointestinal, por los tejidos lesionados como mediador del dolor y puede funcionar como neurotransmisor.
