Scope note: Término que se aplica a un grupo de erupciones escamosas, maculopapulares, e inflamatorias que son relativamente poco comunes, de etiología desconocida, y resistentes a los tratamientos convencionales. Las erupciones tienen apariencia psoriásica y liquenoide, pero la enfermedad es diferente de la psoriasis, liquen plano, u otra dermatosis reconocida. La nomenclatura propuesta divide a la parapsoriasis en dos subgrupos diferentes, PITIRIASIS LIQUENOIDE y parapsoriasis en placas (parapsoriasis de placas pequeñas y grandes).

Scope note: The term applied to a group of relatively uncommon inflammatory, maculopapular, scaly eruptions of unknown etiology and resistant to conventional treatment. Eruptions are both psoriatic and lichenoid in appearance, but the diseases are distinct from psoriasis, lichen planus, or other recognized dermatoses. Proposed nomenclature divides parapsoriasis into two distinct subgroups, PITYRIASIS LICHENOIDES and parapsoriasis en plaques (small- and large-plaque parapsoriasis).
