Scope note: Defecto congénito en el que el corazón se localiza en el lado derecho del TÓRAX en lugar de en el lado izquierdo (levocardia, la posición normal). Cuando la dextrocardia se acompaña de AURÍCULAS CARDIACAS invertidas, el ESTÓMAGO situado en el lado derecho y el HÍGADO en el lado izquierdo, la combinación recibe la denominación de dextrocardia con SITUS INVERSUS. La dextrocardia puede afectar de modo adverso a otros órganos torácicos.
