Scope note: Género de la familia Lorisidae que consta de cuatro especies que viven en los bosques y regiones de matorrales de África subsahariana y en algunas islas cercanas. Las cuatro especies son G. alleni, G. crassicaudatus, G. demidovii, y G. senegalensis. Hay otro género, Euoticus, que contiene dos especies que algunos autores han incluido en el género Galago.
