Descriptor English: Myelopoiesis
Descriptor Spanish: Mielopoyesis
Descriptor mielopoyesis

RDF Unique Identifier: https://id.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/D038042
Scope note: Formation of MYELOID CELLS from the pluripotent HEMATOPOIETIC STEM CELLS in the BONE MARROW via MYELOID STEM CELLS. Myelopoiesis generally refers to the production of leukocytes in blood, such as MONOCYTES and GRANULOCYTES. This process also produces precursor cells for MACROPHAGE and DENDRITIC CELLS found in the lymphoid tissue.
