Scope note: Fármacos que inhiben las acciones del sistema nervioso simpático por cualquier mecanismo. Entre los más comunes se encuentran los ANTAGONISTAS ADRENÉRGICOS y fármacos que producen depleción de noradrenalina o reducen la liberación de transmisores desde las terminales posganglionares adrenérgicas (ver AGENTES ADRENÉRGICOS). The most common of these are the ADRENERGIC ANTAGONISTS and drugs that deplete norepinephrine or reduce the release of transmitters from adrenergic postganglionic terminals (see ADRENERGIC AGENTS).
