Scope note: Precursor de la plasmina (FIBRINOLISINA). Es una beta-globulina de cadena única, con peso molecular entre 80.000 y 90.000 Da, que se encuentra principalmente asociada al fibrinógeno en el plasma. Los activadores del plasminógeno lo transforman en fibrinolisina. Se utiliza para el desbridamiento de heridas y se ha investigado su utilización como trombolítico.

Scope note: Precursor of plasmin (FIBRINOLYSIN). It is a single-chain beta-globulin of molecular weight 80-90,000 found mostly in association with fibrinogen in plasma; plasminogen activators change it to fibrinolysin. It is used in wound debriding and has been investigated as a thrombolytic agent.
