Scope note:	Enfermedad infecciosa aguda, generalmente benigna, causada por el VIRUS DE LA RUBÉOLA, que suele afectar a niños y adultos jóvenes no inmunizados. El virus penetra por las vías respiratorias por medio de pequeñas gotitas de saliva y se extiende al sistema linfático. (Dorland, 27th ed)

Scope note:

An acute infectious disease caused by the RUBELLA VIRUS. The virus enters the respiratory tract via airborne droplet and spreads to the LYMPHATIC SYSTEM.
