Scope note: Potentes agentes alquilantes e inmunosupresores cuya actividad biológica se basa en la presencia de grupos bis(2-cloretil).. Aunque por lo demás estructuralmente diversos, los compuestos tienen en común la capacidad de contribuir con grupos alquilo al ADN. Son por lo general muy tóxicos pero se incluyen entre ellos muchos agentes antineoplásicos eficaces utilizados ampliamente.
