Scope note: Proteínas que se unen al RETINOL. La proteína de unión al retinol presente en el plasma tiene una movilidad alfa-1 en la electroforesis y una masa molecular de aproximadamente 21 kDa. El complejo retinol-proteína (masa molecular = 80-90 kDa) circula en el plasma en forma de complejo proteína-proteína con prealbúmina. La proteína de unión al retinol presente en el tejido tiene una masa molecular de 14 kDa y transporta retinol como un ligando unido de forma no covalente.

Scope note: Proteins which bind with RETINOL. The retinol-binding protein found in plasma has an alpha-1 mobility on electrophoresis and a molecular weight of about 21 kDa. The retinol-protein complex (MW=80-90 kDa) circulates in plasma in the form of a protein-protein complex with prealbumin. The retinol-binding protein found in tissue has a molecular weight of 14 kDa and carries retinol as a noncovalently bound ligand.
