Scope note: Creación de una imagen obtenida por cámaras que detectan las emisiones radioactivas de un radioisótopo inyectado a medida que se distribuye de manera diferente entre los tejidos del organismo. La imagen obtenida a partir de un detector móvil se denomina escáner o tomografía, mientras que la imagen captada por un dispositivo con cámara estática se conoce como gammagrafía.

Scope note: The production of an image obtained by cameras that detect the radioactive emissions of an injected radionuclide as it has distributed differentially throughout tissues in the body. The image obtained from a moving detector is called a scan, while the image obtained from a stationary camera device is called a scintiphotograph.
