Scope note: Infección parasitaria causada por el nematodo Loa loa. El vector que transmite esta infección es el tábano o la mosca del mango (Chrysops). Las larvas pueden verse justo debajo de la piel o pasando a través de la conjuntiva. Las lesiones oculares son comunes. La enfermedad suele ser leve y no causa dolor.
