Scope note:	Dilatación mayor de 6 mm de las pupilas que se combina con un defecto pupilar para contraerse cuando son estimuladas por la luz. Esta afección puede producirse por lesiones de las fibras pupilares del nervio oculomotor, en el glaucoma agudo de ángulo cerrado y en el SÍNDROME DE ADIE.

Scope note:

Dilation of pupils to greater than 6 mm combined with failure of the pupils to constrict when stimulated with light. This condition may occur due to injury of the pupillary fibers in the oculomotor nerve, in acute angle-closure glaucoma, and in ADIE SYNDROME.

Annotation:

pathol dilation of the pupils; do not use for state after admin of mydriatics ( = PUPIL /drug eff) but MYDRIATICS is available
