Scope note: Importantes moduladores de la actividad de activadores del plasminógeno. En la inhibición de la activación del plasminógeno se han implicado cuatro inhibidores, todos ellos pertenecientes a la familia de proteínas serpinas: PAI-1, PAI-2, proteasa-nexina e INHIBIDOR DE LA PROTEÍNA C (PAI-3). Todos inhiben a los activadores del plasminógeno de tipo tisular y de tipo urocinasa.
