Scope note: Procedimientos diagnósticos y terapéuticos de naturaleza invasiva o quirúrgica que requieren de la experiencia de un radiólogo especialmente entrenado. En general, son más invasivos que las imágenes diagnósticas pero menos invasivos que la cirugía mayor. A menudo comprenden cateterismo, fluoroscopia, o tomografía computarizada. Algunos ejemplos son la colangiografía percutánea transhepática, la biopsia percutánea transtorácica, la angioplastia con balón y la embolización arterial.
