Scope note: Grupo de bacterias gramnegativas constituído por células con forma de bastones y cocos. Son aerobias (capaces de crecer en el aire atmosférico) y microaerofílicas (crecen mejor con bajas concentraciones de oxígeno) en condiciones de fijación de nitrógeno pero, cuando se les suministra una fuente de nitrógeno fijo se comportan como aerobias.

Scope note: A group of gram-negative bacteria consisting of rod- and coccus-shaped cells. They are both aerobic (able to grow under an air atmosphere) and microaerophilic (grow better in low concentrations of oxygen) under nitrogen-fixing conditions but, when supplied with a source of fixed nitrogen, they grow as aerobes.
