Scope note: Enfermedad transmitida por garrapagas caracterizada por FIEBRE, CEFALEA, mialgias, ANOREXIA y en ocasiones EXANTEMA. Está causada por varias especies bacterianas y puede producir enfermedades en PERROS, BOVINOS, OVEJAS, CABRAS, CABALLOS y seres humanos. Las principales especies que producen la enfermedad en los seres humanos son EHRLICHIA CHAFFEENSIS, ANAPLASMA PHAGOCYTOPHILUM y Ehrlichia ewingii.
