Scope note: Agonista adrenérgico parcial, selectivo de los receptores beta-1. Como es un agonista parcial (AGONISMO PARCIAL FARMACOLÓGICO) actúa como agonista cuando la actividad simpática es baja y como antagonista cuando la actividad simpática es alta. Reduce la ISQUEMIA MIOCÁRDICA y mejora la función ventricular en los pacientes con insuficiencia cardiaca leve a moderada. Ha demostrado mejorar las funciones sistólica y diastólica en los pacientes con insuficiencia cardíaca grave.
