Scope note: Importante compuesto que actúa como constituyente de la coenzima NAD. Su principal importancia radica en la prevención y-o curación de la lengua negra y la PELAGRA. La mayoría de los animales no pueden producir este compuesto en cantidades suficientes para prevenir el déficit nutricio por lo que debe ser suplementado a través de la dieta.
