Scope note: Proceso en el cual se expone la sangre periférica, en un sistema de flujo extracorpóreo, al 8-metoxipsoraleno fotoactivado (METOXSALENO) y luz ultravioleta - procedimiento conocido como TRATAMIENTO PUVA. La fotoféresis es en la actualidad un tratamiento estándar en relación con los linfomas cutáneos avanzados de las células T; se muestra prometedora en el tratamiento de las enfermedades autoinmunes.
