En ocasiones reciben la denominación de "raíz culebrera" si bien este nombre también se utiliza para muchas otras plantas, como la POLYGALA, la SANICULA, el ASARUM, la ARISTOLOCHIA, la AGERATINA y otras. Serpentaria aristolochia también es un remedio homeopático. Nombre científico: Aristolochia serpentaria. Sinónimos: raíz de culebra de Virginia, serpentaria. Abreviatura: "serp".
