Scope note: Planta de la familia ASTERACEAE. La M. chamomilla es similar a la Anthemis aunque el disco de la flor es cónico y cavernoso, carece de brácteas escamosas y tiene un aroma más suave. El nombre común de manzanilla induce a confusión con otros significados de este término. La Matricaria chamomilla sensu es denominada por algunos como Tripleurospermum perforata. Entre otras plantas con nombres comunes similares se encuentran las CHAMAEMELUM, TRIPLEUROSPERMUM y ANTHEMIS.

The common name of 'manzanilla' is confused with other meanings of the word. 'Matricaria chamomilla sensu' is classified by some as Tripleurospermum perforata.
