Scope note: Activación del complemento desencadenada por la interacción de POLISACÁRIDOS microbianos con LECTINA DE UNIÓN A MANOSA sérica que lleva a la activación de SERINA-PROTEASAS ASOCIADAS A PROTEÍNAS DE UNIÓN A MANOSA (MASP). Como en la vía clásica, las MASP escinden el COMPLEMENTO C4 y el COMPLEMENTO C2 para formar la C3 CONVERTASA (C4B2A) y la subsiguiente C5 CONVERTASA (C4B2A3B) con la posterior escisión del COMPLEMENTO C5 y el ensamblaje del COMPLEJO DE ATAQUE A LA MEMBRANA DEL COMPLEMENTO.

Scope note: Complement activation triggered by the interaction of microbial POLYSACCHARIDES with serum MANNOSE-BINDING LECTIN resulting in the activation of MANNOSE-BINDING PROTEIN-ASSOCIATED SERINE PROTEASES. Scope note Complement activation triggered by the interaction of microbial POLYSACCHARIDES with serum MANNOSE-BINDING LECTIN resulting in the activation of MANNOSE-BINDING PROTEIN-ASSOCIATED SERINE PROTEASES.
