Scope note: Medida de la circunferencia de la cintura dividida por la medida de la circunferencia de la cadera. Tanto para el hombre como para la mujer, si el índice cintura-cadera (ICC) es igual o superior a 1,0 se considera que existe riesgo de consecuencias indeseables para la salud, tales como cardiopatías y afecciones asociadas al SOBREPESO. En el caso de los varones, se considera saludable un ICC igual o menor de 0,90. En las mujeres, se considera saludable cualquier ICC igual o menor de 0,80.
