Scope note: Sustancias químicas muy reactivas que introducen radicales alquílicos en moléculas biológicamente activas y, en consecuencia, impiden que funcionen adecuadamente. Se usan sobre todo como antineoplásicos, pero la mayoría son muy tóxicos, con efectos carcinógenos, mutágenos, teratógenos e inmunosupresores. Scope note: Highly reactive chemicals that introduce alkyl radicals into biologically active molecules and thereby prevent their proper functioning.
