Scope note: Manifestación de una respuesta emocional por la que las personas influyen en la intensidad, la duración, la valencia o la manifestación de su respuesta. La regulación emocional precede (evitación, interpretación) o sigue a una emoción (supresión, revisión). La regulación emocional es distinta del afrontamiento (se centra principalmente en disminuir una experiencia emocional negativa), y puede incluir el aumento o la disminución de las emociones positivas y negativas de forma consciente o inconsciente.
