Scope note: Infección aguda, común, causada generalmente por el virus del Epstein-Barr (HERPESVIRUS 4 HUMANO). Se observa un aumento de los leucocitos mononucleares y de otros linfocitos atípicos, linfadenopatías generalizadas, esplenomegalia, y ocasionalmente hepatomegalia con hepatitis.
