El término se refiere generalmente a un incremento anormal de la curvatura (dorso en silla de montar, dorso excavado). No incluye la lordosis que se produce en ciertos animales para alcanzar la postura normal de apareamiento ( = POSTURA + COMPORTAMIENTO SEXUAL ANIMAL).
