Nota de alcance: Parte central del cerebro posterior (ROMBENCÉFALO), situada entre la médula oblongada (BULBO RAQUÍDEO) y el cerebro medio (MESENCÉFALO) y de localización ventral respecto del CEREBELO. Consta de dos partes: la dorsal y la ventral. El puente actúa a modo de estación intermedia de vías nerviosas entre el CEREBELO y el CEREBRO.
