Descriptor citaféresis
Nota de alcance: Separación de uno o más tipos de células de la sangre total con el retorno de los otros constituyentes celulares de la sangre al paciente o donante. Se realiza con un instrumento que utiliza la centrifugación para separar las células en diferentes capas atendiendo a las diferencias de densidad de las células (desplazamiento) o coeficientes de sedimentación en una corriente (elutriación). El procedimiento es comúnmente utilizado en la transferencia adoptiva para aislar células NK, linfocitos, o monocitos.
