Nota de alcance: Acto, proceso o resultado de pasar de un lugar o posición a otro. Difiere de la LOCOMOCIÓN en que en ésta se restringe al paso del cuerpo en su totalidad de un lugar a otro, mientras que el movimiento abarca tanto la locomoción como también un cambio de posición de la totalidad del cuerpo o de cualquiera de sus partes. Se puede utilizar el concepto de movimiento con referencia a los humanos, animales vertebrados e invertebrados y microorganismos. Se diferencia también de la ACTIVIDAD MOTORA, movimiento asociado con la conducta.
