Nota de escopo: Nombre común para el orden Pleuronectiformes. Grupo muy diferente ya que durante el desarrollo se convierten en asimétricos, es decir, un ojo migra hasta quedar adyacente al otro. Nadan sobre el lado que no tiene ojo. Se incluyen en este orden el LENGUADO, el rodaballo, y el turbo, entre muchos otros.
