Scope note: Enfermedad inflamatoria crónica de la piel, de etiología desconocida. Se caracteriza por presentar ERITEMA moderado, seco, húmedo o grasiento (GLÁNDULAS SEBÁCEAS) y placas de costras amarillas en diversas áreas, especialmente en el cuero cabelludo. Aparecen primero como pequeñas placas que posteriormente van confluyendo hasta afectar a todo el cuero cabelludo, con exfoliación de cantidades excesivas de cuero cabelludo seco (caspa). La dermatitis seborreica es común en niños y adolescentes con INFECCIONES POR VIH.
