Scope note: Nódulos subcutáneos que se producen en el 20-30 por ciento de los pacientes con artritis reumatoide. Pueden aparecer en cualquier parte del cuerpo, pero son más frecuentes sobre las prominencias óseas. Histológicamente se caracterizan por áreas densas de necrosis fibrinoide con estrías y gránulos basófilos, rodeados por células en empalizada, principalmente fibroblastos e histiocitos.
