Scope note: Compuesto polianiónico con un mecanismo de acción desconocido. Se utiliza parenteralmente en el tratamiento de la tripanosomiasis africana y ha sido utilizado clínicamente con la dietilcarbamazina para matar los Oncocercos adultos. (AMA Drug Evaluations Annual, 1992, p1643) También se ha demostrado que posee potentes propiedades antineoplásicas.

Scope note: A polyanionic compound with an unknown mechanism of action. It is used parenterally in the treatment of African trypanosomiasis and it has been used clinically with diethylcarbamazine to kill the adult Onchocerca.
