Scope note: Especie de helminto denominada habitualmente trematodo hepático de la oveja. Se encuentra en las vías biliares, el hígado y la vesícula biliar durante varias etapas del desarrollo. Los huéspedes intermedios son los caracoles y la vegetación acuática. Infecta ocasionalmente al hombre y es más frecuente en el ganado ovino y vacuno.
