Note d'application:	Especie de helminto denominada habitualmente trematodo hepático de la oveja. Se encuentra en las vías biliares, el hígado y la vesícula biliar durante varias etapas del desarrollo. Los huéspedes intermedios son los caracoles y la vegetación acuática. Infecta ocasionalmente al hombre y es más frecuente en el ganado ovino y vacuno.

Note d'application:

A species of helminth commonly called the sheep liver fluke. It occurs in the biliary passages, liver, and gallbladder during various stages of development. Snails and aquatic vegetation are the intermediate hosts. Occasionally seen in man, it is most common in sheep and cattle.
