Scope note: Agregación y adherencia leucocitaria intravascular anormal que se observa a menudo en pacientes leucémicos. El cerebro y los pulmones son los órganos más comúnmente afectados. Este síndrome agudo requiere modalidades citorreductivas agresivas entre las que se encuentran la quimioterapia y/o leucoforesis. Se diferencia de la INFILTRACIÓN LEUCÉMICA en que esta es un proceso neoplásico en el que las células leucémicas invaden los órganos.

Scope note: Abnormal intravascular leukocyte aggregation and clumping often seen in leukemia patients. The brain and lungs are the two most commonly affected organs. This acute syndrome requires aggressive cytoreductive modalities including chemotherapy and/or leukophoresis. It is differentiated from LEUKEMIC INFILTRATION which is a neoplastic process where leukemic cells invade organs.
