Scope note:	División quirúrgica de un tendón para corregir una deformidad provocada por el acortamiento, congénito o adquirido, de un músculo (Stedman, 27th ed). La tenotomía se efectúa para alargar un músculo que se ha desarrollado impropiamente, o que se ha acortado y se resiste al estiramiento.
