Note d'application: Tumor neuroendocrino secretor de GASTRINA, de las CÉLULAS DE LOS ISLOTES PANCREÁTICOS no beta, las células de gastrina o CELULAS G. Este tipo de tumor se localiza principalmente en el PÁNCREAS o en el DUODENO. La mayoría de los gastrinomas son malignos. Metastatizan en el HÍGADO, GANGLIOS LINFÁTICOS y HUESO y con poca frecuencia en otras localizaciones. La presencia de un gastrinoma es uno de los tres requisitos del SÍNDROME DE ZOLLINGER-ELLISON, que en ocasiones aparece en familias con NEOPLASIAS ENDOCRINAS MÚLTIPLES TIPO 1 (MEN-1).

Note d'application: A GASTRIN-secreting neuroendocrine tumor of the non-beta ISLET CELLS, the GASTRIN-SECRETING CELLS. This type of tumor is primarily located in the PANCREAS or the DUODENUM. Majority of gastrinomas are malignant. They metastasize to the LIVER; LYMPH NODES; and BONE but rarely elsewhere. The presence of gastrinoma is one of three requirements to be met for identification of ZOLLINGER-ELLISON SYNDROME, which sometimes occurs in families with MULTIPLE ENDOCRINE NEOPLASIA TYPE 1; (MEN 1).
