Note d'application: Técnica de pulverizar una muestra de tejido con un fino revestimiento de un metal pesado como el platino. La muestra se pulveriza desde un ángulo oblicuo, dando lugar a un depósito desigual del revestimiento. El grosor no uniforme crea un efecto de sombra y da una apariencia tridimensional a la muestra.

Note d'application: The technique of spraying a tissue specimen with a thin coat of a heavy metal such as platinum. The specimen is sprayed from an oblique angle, which results in the uneven deposition of the coating. The varying thicknesses create a shadow effect and give a three-dimensional appearance to the specimen.
