El imperio griego se extendió desde la propia Grecia y las islas del Egeo en el siglo XVI AC hasta el valle del Indo, en el siglo IV, bajo el mandato de Alejandro Magno, y el sur de Italia y Sicilia. La medicina griega comienza con la medicina homérica y esculapiana, y continúa sin interrupción hasta Hipócrates (480-355 A.C.). The Greek Empire extended from the Greek mainland and the Aegean islands from the 16th century B.C., to the Indus Valley in the 4th century under Alexander the Great, and to southern Italy and Sicily. Greek medicine began with Homeric and Aesculapian medicine and continued unbroken to Hippocrates (480-355 B.C.).
