Grupo heterogéneo de enfermedades artríticas que comparten manifestaciones clínicas y radiológicas. Se asocian con el ANTÍGENO HLA-B27 y algunas con infección desencadenante. La mayoría afecta a las articulaciones de la COLUMNA VERTEBRAL, en especial la ARTICULACIÓN SACROILÍACA, pero también pueden afectarse asimétricamente las articulaciones periféricas. Como subconjuntos de este grupo figuran la ESPONDILITIS ANQUILOSANTE, la ARTRITIS REACTIVA, la ARTRITIS PSORIÁSICA y otras.

Heterogeneous group of arthritic diseases sharing clinical and radiologic features. They are associated with the HLA-B27 ANTIGEN and some with a triggering infection. Most involve the axial joints in the SPINE, particularly the SACROILIAC JOINT, but can also involve asymmetric peripheral joints. Subsets include ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS; REACTIVE ARTHRITIS; PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS; and others.
