Note d'application: Miembro de la familia de proteínas S-100 que se halla presente en grandes concentraciones en la sangre y líquido intersticial en varios trastornos infecciosos, inflamatorios y malignos, como la artritis reumatoide, la enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal y la fibrosis quística. Es un complejo de una cadena ligera (CALGRANULINA A) y de una cadena pesada (CALGRANULINA B). L1 se une al calcio por medio de un motivo en mano-EF, y se ha demostrado que posee actividad antimicrobiana.

Note d'application: A member of the S-100 protein family that is present at high levels in the blood and interstitial fluid in several infectious, inflammatory, and malignant disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and cystic fibrosis. It is a complex of a light chain (CALGRANULIN A) and a heavy chain (CALGRANULIN B). L1 binds calcium through an EF-hand motif, and has been shown to possess antimicrobial activity.
