Note d'application: Muerte extensa y rápida de las células parenquimatosas del HÍGADO, con frecuencia debida a la exposición a sustancias tóxicas o a lesiones inducidas por fármacos. Se caracteriza por un aspecto blando y fláccido, color pardo amarillento y disminución del tamaño del hígado. Anteriormente se la denominaba "atrofia amarilla aguda".

Note d'application: Extensive and rapid death of parenchymal cells in the LIVER, often due to exposure to toxic materials or drug-induced injury. It is characterized by a soft, flabby, yellow-brown wrinkled, and shrunken liver. It was called "acute yellow atrophy".
