Note d'application:	Miembro de la familia de proteínas Bcl-2 y homólogo de la PROTEÍNA PROTOONCOGÉNICA C-BCL-2. Regula la liberación de CITOCROMO C y del FACTOR INDUCTOR DE LA APOPTOSIS de las mitocondrias. Se dan varias isoformas de la proteína X asociada a BCL-2 debido al EMPALME ALTERNATIVO del ARNm en relación con esta proteína.

A member of the Bcl-2 protein family and homologous partner of C-BCL-2 PROTO-ONCOGENE PROTEIN. It regulates the release of CYTOCHROME C and APOPTOSIS INDUCING FACTOR from the MITOCHONDRIA. Several isoforms of BCL2-associated X protein occur due to ALTERNATIVE SPLICING of the mRNA for this protein.
