Note d'application: Proteína de gran tamaño y muy glicosilada constituyente de la LIPOPROTEÍNA (A). Tiene una muy escasa afinidad por los lípidos pero forma una unión disulfuro con la APOLIPOPROTEÍNA B100. La apoproteína (a) tiene actividad SERINA PROTEINASA y puede tener tamaños diferentes, desde 400 a 800 kDa. Es homóloga al PLASMINÓGENO y se sabe que modula la TROMBOSIS y la FIBRINOLISIS.

Note d'application: A large and highly glycosylated protein constituent of LIPOPROTEIN (A). It has very little affinity for lipids but forms disulfide-linkage to APOLIPOPROTEIN B-100. Apoprotein(a) has SERINE PROTEINASE activity and can be of varying sizes from 400- to 800-kDa. It is homologous to PLASMINOGEN and is known to modulate THROMBOSIS and FIBRINOLYSIS.
