Note d'application:	Procesos de racismo que están integrados en las leyes (locales, estatales y federales), las políticas y las prácticas de la sociedad y de sus instituciones que ofrecen ventajas a los grupos raciales considerados superiores, mientras que oprimen, desfavorecen o de otra forma descuidan de manera diferencial a los grupos raciales considerados inferiores. Acceso diferencial a los bienes, servicios y oportunidades de la sociedad por la raza. El racismo institucionalizado es normativo, a veces está legalizado y, a menudo, se manifiesta como una desventaja heredada. Es estructural, estando codificado en nuestras instituciones de costumbres, prácticas y leyes, por lo que no es necesario que haya un perpetrador identificable.
