Note d'application:	Período desde el comienzo de un sangrado menstrual (MENSTRUACIÓN) hasta el siguiente en una mujer que o primate femenino que ovula. El ciclo menstrual está regulado por interacciones endocrinas del HIPOTÁLAMO, HIPÓFISIS, ovarios y el tracto genital. El ciclo menstrual se divide por la OVULACIÓN en dos fases. Atendiendo al estado endocrino de OVARIO, hay una FASE FOLICULAR y una FASE LUTEÍNICA. Atendiendo a la respuesta en el ENDOMETRIO, el ciclo menstrual se divide en una fase proliferativa y en una fase secretoria.

The period from onset of one menstrual bleeding (MENSTRUATION) to the next in an ovulating woman or female primate. The menstrual cycle is regulated by endocrine interactions of the HYPOTHALAMUS; the PITUITARY GLAND; the ovaries; and the genital tract. The menstrual cycle is divided by OVULATION into two phases. Based on the endocrine status of the OVARY, there is a FOLLICULAR PHASE and a LUTEAL PHASE. Based on the response in the ENDOMETRIUM, the menstrual cycle is divided into a proliferative and a secretory phase.
