Nota de escopo: Subunidad beta de la GONADOTROPINA CORIÓNICA humana. Su estructura es similar a la de la unidad beta de la LUTROPINA, excepto en los 30 aminoácidos adicionales del extremo carboxi con los residuos de carbohidratos asociados. La HCG-beta se usa como marcador diagnóstico para la detección precoz del embarazo, el ABORTO ESPONTÁNEO, el EMBARAZO ECTÓPICO, la MOLA HIDATIFORME, el CORIOCARCINOMA y el SÍNDROME DE DOWN.

Nota de escopo: The beta subunit of human CHORIONIC GONADOTROPIN. Its structure is similar to the beta subunit of LUTEINIZING HORMONE, except for the additional 30 amino acids at the carboxy end with the associated carbohydrate residues. HCG-beta is used as a diagnostic marker for early detection of pregnancy, spontaneous abortion (ABORTION, SPONTANEOUS); ECTOPIC PREGNANCY; HYDATIDIFORM MOLE; CHORIOCARCINOMA; or DOWN SYNDROME.
